Detective Pikachu
SCORE: 89
I did not know what to expect from
Detective Pikachu on DVD. I played the video game so I had some idea
what this movie would be about. I had also heard a variety of people
thought this movie was completely and totally lame. I guess my
expectations of Detective Pikachu were pretty low. I actually enjoyed
this movie. There are some twists and turns at the end of this movie
that I was not expecting.
One of the cool things in Detective Pikachu is seeing the different
Pokemon represented in the real world. They did a good job with it. Ryan
Reynolds did an amazing job in this role in Detective Pikachu. Justice
Smith did okay. He was not as believable in the role in my opinion. The
Pokemon were interesting in Detective Pikachu. The most interesting
Pokemon in Detective Pikachu is Mew Two. I was really hoping to see Mew
in Detective Pikachu.
The issues families can have with Detective Pikachu are violence, lack
of attire, enticement to lust, evolution, and promotes the climate
change belief. All of these are really light which is good news. I don’t
know why they have to throw in radical far leftist Holly Weird garbage
like their religious belief in climate change. Holly Weird is working
hard to brainwash the super majority to follow their radicalized belief
system.
There are plenty of humorous moments in Detective Pikachu. I noticed
some emotional moments in Detective Pikachu as well. If you are not
watching some tears may well up during certain sad scenes. I loved the
Pokemon Battling scene in the underground. That was a really funny
scene. Detective Pikachu promotes having a Pokemon partner with you at
all times. I know that theme has been used in the games before too.
The bonus content found on a separate disc for Detective Pikachu are
Alternate Opening, Creating the World of Detective Pikachu, Mr Mime’s
Audio Commentary, Ryan Reynolds – Outside the Actor’s Studio, and a
Music Video. I enjoyed my 104 minutes watching Detective Pikachu on DVD.
The twists at the end makes me less interested in rewatching. Maybe in a
half a year to a year.
