Devious Dungeon 2

Family Friendly Gaming was given digital download codes for Devious Dungeon 2 on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS Vita. The code for the Nintendo Switch was redeemed and the codes for the PS4 and PS Vita were offered on our Twitter channel. All anyone had to do to receive the free code was follow us on Twitch and send us a whisper as to what system they wanted Devious Dungeon 2 on. Very easy, and very simple. FFG has been doing that with extra digital download codes recently.

At the beginning of this retro hack and slash 2D video game we can choose between a Barbarian, Mage or Rogue. We are then met by retro graphics and some cool medieval sounding music. Devious Dungeon 2 looks barely better than an 8-bit video game. Devious Dungeon 2 sound better than a 16-bit video game. Devious Dungeon 2 has responsive controls and a few buttons to use. We attack and we jump. This is a 2D video game after all.

Families will have some problems with Devious Dungeon 2. The problems are blood, gore, magic, violence, lack of attire, and more. Players find a key in each of the randomly generated levels. Then players take the key to the exit door to get out of that level. Early on you may die a lot. Devious Dungeon 2 feels hard at first. Once you collect enough money, buy upgrades, and level up Devious Dungeon 2 gets easier.

At each character level up we can increase the damage we do, our health, or our critical hits. In between areas at a set interval there are priests to heal us. There is also a merchant so we can purchase upgrades. The town has more characters to interact with if you so choose. There are six worlds with twelve mini bosses in Devious Dungeon 2. There is also an end boss to the game.

The more I played Devious Dungeon 2 the easier it became. I would collect gold, level something up, and hunt down a variety of monsters. There are certain bounties that can be found in Devious Dungeon 2. Usually it is attained by killing a certain monster. I found it was smart to completely clear out a level before moving on to the next one. Fans of the first game will get into this sequel.
