Fairy Tail Collection One

Subscribers and followers of our Twitch channel that watch the FFG Family Show knew the review of Fairy Tail Collection One was coming since it was part of the FFG Haul portion of the FFG Family Show. Our Youtube viewers may also remember it when the video made it over to that site. I was curious about Fairy Tail after seeing an ad for it in front of another anime show. I like owning physical copies of shows so I am in control of it.

The issues I noticed about Fairy Tail Collection One right away are magic, enticement to lust, lack of attire, fairies, magical creatures, sexual deviancy and more. Fairy Tail Collection One has some pretty typical Japanese anime concepts to it. The main hero is not very bright most of the time. Then he will surprise us by coming up with a brilliant strategy. The women are busting all out most of the time to the point of being a distraction.

I purchased the Blu-ray + DVD combination package of Fairy Tail Collection One. This show was a bit slow at first. It did eventually get going and the story arcs were interesting. The filler episodes are not as interesting. Fairy Tail Collection One does have some humor to it. The animation goes over the top to accentuate theses humorous moments. The Japanese honor system is on display in Fairy Tail Collection One.

Fairy Tail Collection One touches on magical energy and these mages only have so much of it. It seems a plot point because certain characters can use magic over and over again. Others get tired and cannot fight. There are plenty of one on one battles in Fairy Tail Collection One. I would have liked to have seen more multiple character battles. Fairy Tail Collection One ends without the price being paid for the war between two guilds.

All in all I found enough worthwhile moments in Fairy Tail Collection One to feel good about purchasing this show that takes 600 minutes to watch. The characters are getting deeper as the show progresses. The flying cat is a little weird but whatever. If you like medieval anime that revolves around magic then you might be interested in Fairy Tail Collection One.
