Island Maze

Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Island Maze on the Nintendo Switch. This game is under two hundred megs in terms of memory usage. Island Maze has us play a cube in twenty-eight levels on islands. Our goal is to roll to the exit space. You know what we say here at FFG about games with a low amount of levels in them. Do you remember?

If you forgot the answer to the question in the last paragraph I will refresh your memory. The lower the levels in a game the more difficult the game is. Island Maze is mindnumbling difficult. The cube collects gems and must use them to roll over specific spaces. If you roll over a gem space with the gem anywhere else but facing down your cube will break.

I also found it is easy to fall of the edges into the water in Island Maze. This downloadable only puzzle video game is definitely for hardcore puzzle gamers only. Casual gamers will get frustrated and quit. Island Maze could make some people even rage quit. Island Maze is that difficult. We must use the design of the levels to get the sides of the cube lined up just so.

As we beat levels we collect little yellow diamonds. The less moves you take the more diamonds you will earn. These little yellow diamonds are used to unlock the next four stages. I learned quickly while playing Island Maze. The more I played this downloadable only video game the more my head hurt.

I do not feel I am the audience for Island Maze. I like being able to beat game levels. Island Maze humbled me quickly, and often. The music in Island Maze is fantastic. I loved the little graphics in this Nintendo Switch video game. I wish Island Maze came with an easy mode especially after dying in the same level fifty times.
