Lego The Hobbit

Back in 2014 Family Friendly Gaming reviewed Lego The Hobbit on the PS Vita. Since the Nintendo 3DS version of Lego The Hobbit is so similar we lumped the two together. Recently I decided that I want to play and review Lego The Hobbit on the Nintendo 3DS. I miss the hand held Lego video games. Hence this review in this issue. Plus we needed some more hand held video games for review.

If you die in a level while playing Lego The Hobbit then you will have to completely redo the level. There are numerous challenges in each of the levels of Lego The Hobbit. Certain levels have a timer but we can still complete the level if the timer runs out. I appreciate that because I love exploring and building in hand held Lego video games.

The map screen in Lego The Hobbit is really cool. I love collecting resources and going on side quests in Lego The Hobbit. It is also fun to replay levels for different challenges. Maybe we want to beat it in a certain amount of time. Maybe we need to scare three spiders. Whatever the challenge there are plenty in each of the levels of Lego The Hobbit.

There are issues with Lego The Hobbit that families need to be aware of. Lego The Hobbit contains violence, magic, ghosts, necromancy and more. Expect all of the content from the movies to appear in Lego The Hobbit. There are direct sound bytes from the movies included in Lego The Hobbit.

To me Lego The Hobbit looks good and it sounds good. I like how this game looks. I like how most of the hand held Lego games look. I miss these games. I hope to see more of them in the future. I really enjoyed playing this game. Lego The Hobbit was really low in price with a cartridge, case and manual.

If your family is looking for a hand held Lego video game and your family enjoyed the Hobbit movies then I suggest taking a look at Lego The Hobbit. I hope in the future we can get paid to do videos of Lego The Hobbit. As of right now we would lose a lot of money making videos.
