My Big Sister

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for My Big Sister on multiple systems. I played this downloadable only title on the Nintendo Switch. The other codes were offered as a free give-a-way on our Twitter channel. My Big Sister is definitely a game not for families. In fact there is warning when players first start to play this game.

My Big Sister is dark, creepy, hard, and confusing. It is easy to get stuck in this violent and bloody video game. The sarcastic humor can offend some people. The alcohol and tobacco can offend others. This 208 meg download has puzzle elements to it. We must find certain items to interact with other items. Finding what to use where is part of My Big Sister.

The graphics are indie in the top down view that is pixel based. I compare the graphics in My Big Sister to The Escapists. The music is on the creepy side. That fits into a game that is borderline horror. A twelve year old girl is kidnapped and must find her way home. A ghost of an older sister assists her throughout this downloadable only video game.

My Big Sister plays like an adventure game. Go here and get this item. Use that item on this spot to get another item. Rinse and repeat. The key to My Big Sister is finding where certain items are used. There is an exclamation mark above the head of the character when they can interact with a certain object in a certain spot. This is important because of how dark My Big Sister is.

My Big Sister is not my kind of a game. My Big Sister is not a family friendly video game. My opinion of My Big Sister reflects that. I am struggling to find what kind of audience My Big Sister is trying to reach. I guess worldly gamers that are into the macabre and morbid. Do you fit? Do you fall into that category?
