Paradox Soul

Do you enjoy the opportunity to receive free video games? Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Paradox Soul on the Nintendo Switch, PS Vita, and Playstation 4. We offered those codes to any of our readers/viewers who follow us on Twitch and sent us a whisper. Family Friendly Gaming has been doing that when we get extra codes. Another way we provide a service that we are not paid to perform.

Paradox Soul is a 2D side scrolling indie game that looks like it fits somewhere between 8-bit and 16-bit. Paradox Soul looks like a lot of recent indie games. If you have seen many of them then you know what I mean. Gamers thirteen and older can play Paradox Soul in easy, normal, or hard modes. I found Paradox Soul to be a bit on the hard side even on the easiest setting.

What are we supposed to do in Paradox Soul? Why are we exploring this place? I have no idea. I have no clue. We shoot dogs, and robots that bleed. At least I think they are robots. I am not really sure what those things are that respawn every single time we leave the area. I blow them away and they explode all over the place. We can also die and rather easily in Paradox Soul.

Paradox Soul reminds me of 8-bit games like Metroids. Why is that? Paradox Soul has us explore all of these rooms until we find a power up that grants us a new skill. We then go explore areas we could not previously reach. The larger the map gets the more confusing it is to find new areas. I looked at the map screen and it was about as helpful as a non-advertising video game company.

The controls are a bit clunky in Paradox Soul in my opinion. Are you into indie games like Paradox Soul? I did not feel like I am the target audience for this game. Paradox Soul is not the kind of a video game I enjoy playing. I wanted some idea what I was doing and why. Paradox Soul did not explain it to me, and I lost interest before Paradox Soul could redeem itself.
