Race with Ryan
SCORE: 82
I love kid friendly kart racing video
games. I love any kind of kid friendly video game. I love to see
companies releasing video games that the younger members of the family
can enjoy. Race with Ryan is a perfect example of this. Race with Ryan
also connects quite well to Ryan’s World. Not familiar with Ryan’s
World? It is a Youtube channel that has been branching out into toys and
now a console video games.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for Race
with Ryan on the Xbox One. This kid friendly kart racing title is also
on the PC, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 4. The size of Race with
Ryan is 2.61 gigs. Race with Ryan is also provided in the physical copy
format. I wish I could share the art work of the physical copy version
with our wonderful viewers on Twitch and Youtube.
As an adult there are a few things in Race with Ryan that irritated me.
The constant interjection of the six year old with still images was a
bit annoying at times. I hope fans of his really get into that because I
found it odd at times. Race with Ryan does not explain to me why his
Youtube channel did so well. After a few minutes of them in Race with
Ryan I would never watch their Youtube channel.
Race with Ryan does give me hope for a Family Friendly Gaming video game
at some point. I can think of all kinds of interesting ideas for one.
Race with Ryan is pretty short. I beat the entire career in one hour and
forty minutes. I was playing on easy, and there are medium and hard
difficulties. Families can play Race with Ryan together locally. There
are not a lot of tracks in Race with Ryan. Even reversing them felt like
the content is on the light side.
We can spin other cars out by launching weapons at them, or dropping
items that will spin them out. Race with Ryan has some interesting items
to use as well. We get things like paper air planes, eggs that explode,
glue, and more. We get the power ups by going through eggs in Race with
Ryan. The accelerator in Race with Ryan is the ‘A’ button and the button
for using items is left trigger. A little odd control scheme if you ask
me.
Race with Ryan has numerous characters to play. Ryan himself is
available in multiple different costumes and vehicles. I found no
difference in how the vehicles controlled in Race with Ryan. I did get
stuck in a few places here and there in Race with Ryan. Race with Ryan
is a light kart racer that kids can enjoy. I suspect Race with Ryan
himself enjoys playing Race with Ryan. I am going to walk with Elias
now. If you caught my Twitch stream then you will completely understand.
