Have you ever heard about a video game and
not expected much from it? That is what happened when I heard about
Rally Rock 'N Racing. I thought indie racing video game with issues.
Then I played Rally Rock 'N Racing on the Nintendo Switch. This
downloadable only racing game is better than I ever expected. In fact
parts of this game remind me of Dreamcast racing video games.
The name of this Nintendo Switch video game tells you exactly what you
will be getting. Rally Rock 'N Racing is a rally like racing game with
check points. Up to four family members can play Rally Rock 'N Racing at
the same time. There is rock and roll music blaring while we play Rally
Rock 'N Racing on the Nintendo Switch. All of the name tells you exactly
what this game contains.
The modes in Rally Rock 'N Racing are World Rally Cup, Championship,
Time Trial, Multiplayer, Training, and Settings. The controls in Rally
Rock 'N Racing are very touchy. I would hit the brakes and almost
instantly stop. This made going around U-turns a bit more difficult. I
would take it too hard or stop in the middle. Also be careful hitting
the wall because it can turn you around.
The races in Rally Rock 'N Racing are super long. The easiest race in
Championship Mode was like nine minutes long. I could not believe how
long the race was in Rally Rock 'N Racing. There are all kinds of
different environments we go through in these long races too. I learned
we can go around the checkpoints and still get the time applied.
Rally Rock 'N Racing looks nice, and sounds good. I believe most players
will be able to adapt to the controls. I have played racing games like
Rally Rock 'N Racing in the past. This game is a big step up for Enjoyup
Games in my opinion. They are advancing, developing and growing nicely
into a solid racing title that families can play. I found no content
issues for families to be concerned over.
