Ski Jumping Pro VR
SCORE: 66
I have been asking for more first person
sports games in virtual reality. To me this is the future of sports
video games. Ski Jumping Pro VR is the closest thing to that I have
played thus far. We get to the top of the slope, zoom down at breakneck
speed, jump, fly through the air, and finally land it. All of that in
VR. What could go wrong? When we spent all of the money on publishing a
press release on this game I knew I wanted to spend more time and money
on a review.
Be careful what you wish for. Be careful what you ask for. We received a
1.5 gig download code for Ski Jumping Pro VR on the PS4 VR. Noah played
Ski Jumping Pro VR. I played Ski Jumping Pro VR. We both got sick after
playing this VR game. My head throbbed for hours after playing Ski
Jumping Pro VR. I was sick the rest of the night. I play a lot of VR
games, and some get me sick. Most don’t as I have developed a tolerance
to virtual reality. Not enough for Ski Jumping Pro VR though.
The second problem with Ski Jumping Pro VR is the controls. Landing is
way too complicated in my opinion. Launching, and keeping level make
sense on the PS4. Landing has too many controls to remember in my
opinion. I was able to land it a few times here and there. It is just
not as easy as the other controls. It makes landing more difficult than
it needs to be.
There are thirty-two places we can launch ourselves down in Ski Jumping
Pro VR. They all look nice, and Ski Jumping Pro VR sounds decent too.
The tutorial can be taken at any point if families have forgotten how
the complex controls work. We get two jumps at each of the locations. We
can train in Ski Jumping Pro VR to improve our jumper. There is a Career
and Quick Mode in Ski Jumping Pro VR.
If you like customizing your jumper then Ski Jumping Pro VR lets you do
that with fifty different clothing and board accessories. These include
gloves, skis, helmets, boots, and the suit. I wanted to have fun with
Ski Jumping Pro VR in virtual reality. Instead the controls confused and
frustrated me, and the game got me sick. It was a very good effort that
moves the industry toward more sports games in virtual reality.
