Star Ocean First Departure R
SCORE: 72
Are you educated to the history of Star
Ocean First Departure R? It was first released on the Super NES, and
then remade for the Playstation Portable. Now it has been enhanced for
the Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Star Ocean First Departure R
definitely shows its retro roots in this downloadable only title on the
two modern day consoles.
There are problems in Star Ocean First Departure R that families must be
educated to. These issues are violence, magic, blood, bad language, lack
of attire, enticement to lust, false gods, evolution, and more. What is
with Japanese entertainment and women slapping men in the face? Why is
violence against men so acceptable? Is Star Ocean First Departure R part
of the war on men?
The music in Star Ocean First Departure R is fantastic. I loved
listening to this game. There is also voice acting and you can pick the
language (Japanese and English). This 4.1 gig downloadable video game
has real time battles where we hack and slash away at the enemies. Make
sure you are close to them or your character will have to chase them
down.
The Japanese intro song was not translated into English. The graphics in
Star Ocean First Departure R range. From the anime cut scenes to SNES
and PSP looking graphics in battles, maps, and towns. The storyline in
Star Ocean First Departure R captivated me immediately. It is also cool
to see where a franchise comes from. Star Ocean First Departure R does
that in spades.
Families will get their moneys worth out of Star Ocean First Departure
R. Expect to spend quite a few hours on the story, grinding, cooking,
and more. Plenty of known science fiction elements are used in Star
Ocean First Departure R. I enjoyed playing Star Ocean First Departure R.
My biggest complaint is some of the long periods we have to go through
before being able to save.
