It is a shame the PR and Marketing people representing this movie failed
a brother in Christ. Especially after all we have done for Christian
movies. In my opinion they should show their gratefulness in a
meaningful way.
It takes one hour and fifty-three minutes to watch The Case for Christ.
It is based on the book that has sold 14 million copies. I would love
for one of my books to sell one million copies. Sadly we are not part of
the good ole insiders club with special benefits. Maybe this review will
convict some people to change that. The Case for Christ is all about Lee
Strobel and his quest to disprove the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Lee Strobel is a journalist in The Case for Christ that starts as an
atheist. SPOILER ALERT! Lee Strobel becomes a Christian and writes
numerous books defending the faith. Lee is all about fact and evidence.
He researches every single angle he can in the resurrection. He learns
the evidence is insurmountable. He learns the facts point to it being
truth. He has to face his own biases and personal prejudices along the
way.
The Case for Christ has a few scenes that could scare kids. A little
girl is choking and nearly dies. Lee Strobel gets mad and destroys some
plant life in house. His temper tantrum is the most memorable moment for
me The Case for Christ also describe medically what happens to a human
being during a crucifixion. It is a very short part in my opinion and
barely worth mentioning. The MPAA decided to mention it. Which is funny
considering how much content they miss in secular movies.
The bonus content on the The Case for Christ disc are 11 music videos
from the album, The Heart of The Case for Christ Featurette, The Case
for Christ Songs inspired by the motion picture, and intro to the Museum
of the Bible in Washington DC. I really enjoyed The Case for Christ. I
love how this movie teaches us to investigate things for ourselves. My
experience is most atheists and agnostics are lazy and do no
investigations. Instead they expect God to perform for them like some
dog.
