Truberbrook
SCORE: 69
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital
download code to Truberbrook on the Nintendo Switch. This mystery
adventure game comes in the respected physical copy format on the
Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. There is a digital version of
Truberbrook on Steam. Truberbrook reminds me of so many other point and
click adventure games on the Personal Computer (PC).
We walk around the screen and find things to interact with. There are
plenty of things to look at in Truberbrook. There are also certain
things to interact with. You might have to look at something before you
can interact with it. Or you might need to meet some other condition. If
you get stuck there is no help in Truberbrook. I got stuck multiple
times and rage quit because nothing made sense.
The voice acting is cool in this 6.1 gig sized video game. It took quite
a long time to download on the Nintendo Switch. I prefer playing games
off of cartridge personally. They are faster that way. There is a kid
mode in Truberbrook that removes some of the offensive content. It is
neat to see video game developers think of families in this regard. I
wish more game developers thought of how to make their games safer for
families.
Truberbrook can be a bit on the short side if you do not get stuck like
some of us. I also lost progress a few times because Truberbrook did not
save as often as I thought it should. If there was a way to save I
missed it. There are some glitches in Truberbrook that will confuse the
player. Like trying to use the pliers on the outside of the gas station.
The button comes up but the character glitches around. FFG has been
assured the day one patch will fix bugs in this game.
If you like interesting stories, and really interacting with your video
game environment then check out Truberbrook. As I write this review
Truberbrook retails for between thirty and forty dollars. It depends on
which system you decide to purchase this video game for. Truberbrook is
a very interesting gaming experience that reminded me of older PC games
from the past. This game looks nice and it sounds nice.
