Autumn’s Journey
SCORE: 65
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was
given a digital download code for Autumn’s Journey on the Nintendo
Switch. Autumn’s Journey is a virtual novel where we read the story.
Every so often there is some voice acting portions within Autumn’s
Journey. Autumn’s Journey takes place in the world of Ishtera. There are
dragonkind and heavenkind in this downloadable only video game. Auralee
is the main character within Autumn’s Journey.
Auralee finds Kerr on one of her patrols. This human looking character
claims he is actually a dragon. So Auralee embarks upon a quest in
Autumn’s Journey to help him find his dragon form. I would think he
would happy as a human personally. What do I know. We get nice music
with generally cute and soft graphics in Autumn’s Journey. There are
three endings and over forty-one thousand words in this digital novel.
The issues families can have with Autumn’s Journey are violence,
alcohol, bad language, odd religious system, lack of attire, and more.
Autumn’s Journey is one hundred and fifty-eight megs in terms of memory
size. There are numerous words that appear on the same screens in
Autumn’s Journey. We do get new screens from time to time within
Autumn’s Journey. At times for me the words and pictures did not always
match.
If you don’t want to hit the button every single time the text is
complete then you can put Autumn’s Journey into auto mode. The one
problem with auto mode is you might get distracted and miss some
important information. Autumn’s Journey does a good job of refreshing
players memories on specific portions of the story while they read
along. I like how the relationship between the male and female character
builds slowly in Autumn’s Journey.
I love being able to save whenever and where ever I want in Autumn’s
Journey. There are also a few options girls over ten and women reading
this visual novel may check out in Autumn’s Journey. I like how Autumn’s
Journey tells a different story from most of the visual novels I have
played in the past. It is neat to see this genre growing and developing.
I am thankful I had the opportunity to play and review Autumn’s Journey
on the Nintendo Switch.
