I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital downloadable code to Bubble Bobble 4 Friends on the Nintendo Switch. This fun little action adventure bubble blowing video game is available in the much sought after and very respected physical copy format as well. We are unable to review the case and cartridge since we were given a digital downloadable version of this game.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends clocks in at eight hundred and twenty-four megs in terms of memory size. We know of families that are very concerned about space on the Nintendo Switch. The 1986 arcade game is included with Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. There is also a regular game play mode where we can beat one hundred levels and five bosses. I can see a lot of replay value in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. Four family members can enjoy this game at the same time.

The music is fantastic in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. The graphics have a nice shine to them. We put odd looking creatures into bubbles and then pop the bubbles to make them go away. Once we defeat all of the enemies in a level we are able to collect some fruit for additional points. I loved collecting the fruit in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. For me that activity is one of the coolest. Call me strange if you want.

The controls work really well in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. It is so easy to crouch down and crawl through small tunnels. Most of the enemies early on in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends go in very predictable patterns. As I played through Bubble Bobble 4 Friends the challenge slowly increased. It built up at a very nice pace in my opinion. I am so stoked to see this franchise return to the industry.

I am not a fan of forcing families to play with the Joycon in the first game to teach us how to play. I personally prefer to use a controller, or use the Nintendo Switch undocked. That is a minor issue. Jumping on bubbles is such a fun activity in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. There are levels where we need to stair step up the bubbles. We can also use the bubbles our character blows to get higher.
