Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

I am extremely disappointed in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 on the Nintendo 3DS. Back in 2013 I played the Nintendo DS version of this game. I expected more from the Nintendo 3DS version. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is pretty much just the Nintendo DS version. GameMill Entertainment really dropped the ball on this game. How so? I will get into that later in this review.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is a Fruit Ninja clone. We swipe at the silhouettes on the bottom screen. The top screen shows the notes, fruit, coins, and other objects with clarity. We can only miss so many objects per level. We must swipe a certain number of objects or reach so many points in every level. Swiping red objects that are on fire will end our level.

There is no animation in the characters from the game in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. They have some sound byes from the movie here and there. The music is nice to listen to in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. I enjoyed the music of this hand held video game. Players must read the text in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.

The controls in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 bored me really quickly. Why are we cutting his notes in half? How does that help us get the ideas better? There are so many wonderful things and styles of game play that could have been used with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. All we got was an object cutter that does not feel like it fits.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is light in terms of content in my opinion. There are six worlds with six levels in them. There is no reason to replay any level in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. I am not even sure why anyone would need to play Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 in the first place. Save your money for something much better.
