Concept Destruction

The concept behind Concept Destruction is pretty simple. Take cardboard looking cars that can have crayola colors and get into a demolition derby. There are eight arenas and multiple cars to smash other players with. Most of the cars are locked and must be unlocked as the game is played. The same goes for the majority of the arenas we smash and bash other cars in. Concept Destruction is unique in so many ways. These cars are really small too.

We can play Concept Destruction in Championship, Single Event, Multiplayer, School, Options and Credits. The modes in Concept Destruction are Normal, Survival and Tourism. The controls start really simple and easy in Concept Destruction. We have gas, brakes, and turning left or right. As your vehicle takes damage you will loose those good controls. In one match I lost a tire, and could no longer turn to the left.

In most modes we must hit other vehicles so often or we will end the match. Each match in Concept Destruction does have a time limit. We must do so well in Concept Destruction in the Championship mode to progress to the next stage. It can be difficult to go really fast, bash other moving vehicles, and avoid the plethora of hazards in a level. Hitting those hazards in Concept Destruction will damage your vehicle as well.

Concept Destruction has some metal music that will keep you awake and possibly give you a headache. If you are into metal then you will really get into Concept Destruction musically. The NPC cars in Concept Destruction are unpredictable at best. They might go after you or another NPC car. I noticed quite a few cars would take each other out. That left less for me to deal with. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending upon the mode being played.

I am not clear on how damage is determined in Concept Destruction. I did notice cars with a ‘X’ over them are out of the action. I also learned that we can fall of the edges in some levels and instantly get a ‘X’ on our vehicle. Concept Destruction rewards the bold, quick, daring, and accurate. I had fun playing Concept Destruction. I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a copy of Concept Destruction on the Nintendo Switch.
