Etrian Odyssey Nexus

Rumor is that Etrian Odyssey Nexus is the last Etrian video game to appear on the Nintendo 3DS. With all of their problems Atlus tried to send this franchise off in a good way. Unfortunately Atlus messed that up like they have so much else in recent years.

The issues families will have with Etrian Odyssey Nexus are false gods, violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, bad language, alcohol, magic, and more. The problem I have with Etrian Odyssey Nexus is this game is a remix of the previous five mainstream Etrian Odyssey games. How can they rehash so much existing content and then call it is a new game? At best Etrian Odyssey Nexus is a remix of the previous games.

With the ethics, and integrity issues over at Atlus it should not surprise me they would pull this kind of garbage. There are nineteen classes to choose from in Etrian Odyssey Nexus. The Hero class is the only new one. Characters, storylines, enemies, and more are the same in this hand held video game. We can create sixty characters and only use five of them at a time.

The different difficulty settings will let you determine how many hours you feel like grinding. The worse grind in Etrian Odyssey Nexus is the mapping. It is a focus of this game and it annoys me to no end. We report on maps, monsters, and items we come across. We sell the items to get more powerful weapons and armor. The Japanese voices did not go over well with me.

There are choose your own adventure kinds of areas in Etrian Odyssey Nexus. Do we drink the water? Do we smell the flower? Do we go through the hole in the wall? The length between saves is too long in my opinion. Pass on Etrian Odyssey Nexus unless you can get it for five to ten dollars brand new.
