Fighting with my Family

I saw the DVD version of Fighting with my Family on sale for under ten dollars at a local Walmart and decided to purchase it. I knew it was about the origins of Paige the wrestler. I did not know much beyond that though. I wish I had waited for Fighting with my Family to come down even further in price. Man this movie is messed up on so many levels. I will get into that in this review. My research also bummed me a little bit about something as well.

It bothers me deeply when a movie based off of real events has to change things. I watched the match where Paige wins the WWE Divas Title. The movie changed quite a few things from that match. Why? The existing content was pretty good. Why not duplicate that. Paige talked just fine on the mic in the real world. Why have the movie show her choking up not being able to talk? It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

The issues families will have with Fighting with my Family are bad language, violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sexual situations, and more. The language is way worse in Fighting with my Family than I was expecting. I understand the wrestling situations. I also find it interesting that Paige herself is shown as being rude and judgmental to others. It certainly looked like the blonde girls were talking about her on multiple occasions.

Fighting with my Family has a level of sexism against men in it that is bothersome on so many levels. I stopped watching WWE because of the constantly shoving women wrestling down our throats. I am not one of the radicalized far leftist writers who keeps promoting women wrestling. The truth is the women wrestling is not as good as the men’s wrestling. The writers lying about this should be called on the carpet for their lies.

Fighting with my Family shows it is a lot of hard work to become a professional wrestler. How hateful they are to her brother is offensive on so many levels. Fighting with my Family acts like you get one try out and that is it. I have read multiple wrestler’s books and watched numerous shoot interviews. Over and over again these different wrestlers have talked about a plethora of opportunities and try outs they received over the years from the same companies. I wish Fighting with my Family was not so deceptive.
