Girabox

Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Girabox on the Nintendo Switch. I found no information on a physical copy version of Girabox available in the United States at the time of this review. This is an indie title under the puzzle genre. We rotate the levels around in Girabox to get to the P block to the star. The P block is our character and the star is the exit tile. There can be other blocks in the way.

Girabox graphically is on the minimalistic side. There are a few colors used in Girabox on the Nintendo Switch. The colors do change as we progress through the levels in Girabox. As we rotate the screens in Girabox gravity does the work for us. We must avoid things that move around, and get around blocks that will block us from getting to the stars. The more I played Girabox the more I had to think about how to solve it.

If you get stuck in Girabox then you are stuck. You can seek help from someone else or just give up. I got stuck multiple times while playing Girabox on the Nintendo Switch. I found no hint system or a way to just skip levels in Girabox. Which is a bit of a bummer. At times I did not comprehend what Girabox wanted me to do.

The music is okay in Girabox. There was nothing in it to write home about. There was also nothing offensive in Girabox in terms of the music. I could play Girabox with the sound on or mute it and listen to my own music. That is something I like to do while playing video games. There was nothing in the sounds that helped me solve puzzles I was stuck in. I tried listening to the music while I was stuck and I stayed stuck.

Girabox is very minimalistic and indie. If you like solving rotational puzzles then Girabox might be for you. The download size for Girabox is one hundred and fifty-one megs. Girabox will not tax your memory too badly which is neat. Families into digital downloadable rotational puzzles should check out Girabox. You might really like Girabox. I found parts of Girabox to be fun and other parts to be frustrating.
