Giraffe and Annika

A digital download code for Giraffe and Annika was bestowed upon Family Friendly Gaming. There are physical copy versions of Giraffe and Annika available to those trendy families on the edge of technology and society. Giraffe and Annika has a very anime look and feel to it. We play Annika who is met early on by Giraffe. Is Giraffe and Annika a dream? You must play the game to find out. I won’t spoil it for you.

The issues families will have with Giraffe and Annika are violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, magic, ghosts, witches, and more. A religious system teaching gamers to believe in goddesses is also present in Giraffe and Annika. We deal with a variety of ghosts in Giraffe and Annika. The first dungeon has the player run away and then heal up at certain spots. The first witch we battle is more of a rhythm game than anything else.

As we progress in the world of Spica we gain new powers. Be very careful swimming in Giraffe and Annika. It is so easy to drown in this game. Giraffe and Annika has me wanting to avoid the water at all costs. There are plenty of objects and items to interact with in Giraffe and Annika. I love how we can eat things like apples or take them with us to eat later. We are on a quest in Giraffe and Annika to collect four star fragments.

Giraffe and Annika looks good and it sounds good. I had to rotate the camera around a lot in this home console Eastern fantasy video game to find things and where to go. Giraffe and Annika does feel a bit small and short to me. Giraffe and Annika includes a day and night cycle. The ghosts only come out at night so if you need to interact with one waste some time until it becomes night again. The story elements are told in comic book like cut scenes in Giraffe and Annika.

I found Giraffe and Annika to be a light hearted little RPG drawn in the anime style and told in an Eastern viewpoint. Families into that style and viewpoint will get into Giraffe and Annika. I believe Giraffe and Annika would reach more people if the Western viewpoint was incorporated. Maybe this developer will consider that in future video games. Time will tell. I am sure they get all kinds of diverse feedback from other gaming media outlets.
