NBA 2K20
SCORE: 74
Did you enjoy the Twitch stream Peter and
I did of NBA 2K20? We had a pretty good basketball game considering we
picked two horrible teams. We purchased this game on the Xbox One since
the PR and Marketing reps failed us entirely. This has become too common
place in the video game industry.
You probably heard all about the bugs and glitches in NBA 2K20. We ran
into a few ourselves. Collision detection is not always accurate,
momentum meter is annoying, and easy shots are missed at weird times.
The lack of energy from the half time staff is scary.
NBA 2K20 includes plenty of teams from the past. It is always neat to
play with the Seattle Supersonics for instance. The Olympic teams are
also present. All of the current basketball teams with updated rosters
are included in NBA 2K20. It can always be cool to play past great teams
against the current teams and see who is the best.
The issues families will have with NBA 2K20 is bad language, lack of
attire, gambling, and enticement to lust. The cheerleaders are barely
dressed part of the time. The bad language can be muted by going into
the settings to turn off the offensive music. At least this year the
ESRB remembered to denote that. Maybe some year they will add suggestive
themes based on how the cheerleaders dance.
Loot boxes are part of certain modes of NBA 2K20. The WNBA teams are
included within NBA 2K20. Who asked for that? We sure did not. MyCareer,
MyGM, and MyLeague stick out as modes in NBA 2K20. MyGM follows EA with
the cut scenes to give it more of a story. Making it more like MyCareer.
Wasn’t one of those enough? None of those modes interested me
personally.
Since there is no NBA Live this year NBA 2K20 wins by having no
competition. The standards for winning are pretty low this year too. I
value NBA 2K20 at five to ten dollars brand new. Too many glitches, loot
boxes, and gambling.
