NHL 20

The NHL 20 game Teen Gamer and I had on Twitch was the most amazing hockey game we have ever had. That game was epic. For the first time in quite a few years I actually enjoyed playing a brand new hockey video game. The NHL series has finally been climbing out of the hole they dug themselves into. This is awesome to see. I still would like to see someone challenge EA Sports’ monopoly.

The modes in NHL 20 are Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT), Squad Battles, HUT Challenges, HUT Competitive Teams, HUT Seasons, Draft Champions, Chel Champions, Ones, and Threes. The broadcasters sound better, and even give a few nods to the players here and there. NHL 20 feels faster to me.

Thankfully there are multiple different control schemes in NHL 20. I prefer the old school way of doing things be pressing buttons. Thankfully NHL 20 allows that still. There is still stick controls in NHL 20. I actually enjoyed playing NHL 20. Maybe our amazing game had something to do with that. Maybe the viewers and feedback on Twitch.

The signature shots in NHL 20 are pretty cool. There is still fighting in NHL 20. Certain buttons must be pressed to engage in a fight. That is the main violent content found within NHL 20. The graphics are tiny until we get into the replays. Why can’t we have that view in the game? What about a first person view?

The music in NHL 20 can be turned off so your family does not need to hear any offensive lyrics, and opinions. The fans feel real in these stadiums. It can be difficult to score goals in NHL 20. Those goalies can stop that puck with ease at times. They will also hold it in place of turning it over to the other team right in front of them.

NHL 20 is a solid hockey game worth twenty dollars in my professional opinion. There are enough modes for families to enjoy and play together. There are also online modes in NHL 20. I did not mess with any of them personally. Hockey is not my thing. NHL 20 is not so great that it gets me more interested in hockey.
