Ping Redux

I appreciate Family Friendly Gaming receiving a digital download code for Ping Redux on the Playstation 4. The download size for Ping Redux is 234 megs. Pretty small for a modern video game, even an indie one. I found no information on a physical copy version of Ping Redux in the United States. The retro theme that goes back to the first video game of all time. Ping Redux deserves to be in the physical copy format.

The graphics in Ping Redux are blocky. There are plenty of colors, and a variety of things going on in the background. I was a bit taken aback by the graphics at first since I usually only play modern games. My dad wants me to broaden my horizons so I become more well rounded or something like that. Ping Redux rounds me out pretty good with these blocky graphics. The music in Ping Redux is upbeat and energetic. I like the music in Ping Redux.

There are over one hundred levels in Ping Redux. We get twelve bosses as part of that as well. What do we do in Ping Redux? We have a white block that must make its way to the orange orb. We only get so many shots and so many bounces off objects (like walls). So we have to map how we will get there without going over – especially the bounces. Once I got into the flow of Ping Redux, I was blitzing through levels. I had a blast figuring out each of the levels in Ping Redux.

Ping Redux is definitely a puzzle video game that families can get into. The more levels I played the more I appreciated the creativity of the game designer. There are all kinds of cool homages to video games from the past. The biggest shout out goes to PONG! I challenge you to find what I am talking about. It is actually pretty easy to beat some of the levels in Ping Redux if you have a steady hand. Which I do thankfully.

I am pleased that Ping Redux made it to the Playstation 4. This fun little puzzle game broke up Fortnite sessions for me. The music kept me awake when I was getting tired. I hope to see more games like Ping Redux in the near future.
