Pixark

I appreciate Family Friendly Gaming purchasing a copy of Pixark on the Nintendo Switch. This survival crafting video game can also be found on the Personal Computer (PC), Xbox One, and Playstation 4. The modes in Pixark are Join Pixark, Host/Local, Options, and Change User. An online Nintendo account is needed to play Pixark online. I was forced to download an update before being able to play Pixark.

Placing blocks in Pixark is a major pain. That system does not work very well. Maybe it is just the Nintendo Switch version. I don’t know. We can collect items, feed animals, fight dinosaurs and more in Pixark. We can also die easily. There are quest robots around that will provide things for players to do. I enjoyed collecting things in Pixark. Food can restore health.

I had trouble figuring out my health in Pixark. The blocky graphics look a bit better in Pixark than Minecraft. Dragon Quest Builders looks and players better than Pixark in my opinion. Pixark does not give good enough direction. There is plenty of character and world customization options available in Pixark. Crafting is a part of this game when you get to that point.

Pixark lets us do all kinds of things. One of the strangest was to pick up feces from animals. Did we really need that in a video game? I understand going for realism but that makes no sense in a game that does not look close to real. Plus all of these dinosaurs are no longer around. Maybe I am overthinking it. What do you think?

The music in Pixark is pretty nice. I did not have much fun playing Pixark. I wish this video game had a better beginning in terms of what to do. Not everyone wants to spend hours learning how to play their latest video game. If you can get into Pixark then there is definitely replay value there. I value Pixark at five dollars brand new.
