Professor Lupo Ocean
SCORE: 68
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital
download code for Professor Lupo Ocean on the Nintendo Switch. Professor
Lupo Ocean is also on the Personal Computer (PC) through the Steam
portal and mobile. Professor Lupo Ocean is a sequel of sorts to
Professor Lupo and his horrible pets. This is a puzzle game where we
walk around with a character avoiding traps, creatures, and flipping
switches in the right order to get to the exit tile.
Professor Lupo Ocean gets difficult quickly because of how slow our
character walks. She is a clone and if she dies we get another clone.
There are forty levels in Professor Lupo Ocean. The water element is a
nice addition and will take our character away in a hurry. Once the
water starts to move the character there is no getting away until the
water stops flowing. I learned quickly to block doors that led to
spikes.
There is voice acting throughout in Professor Lupo Ocean. Some of it is
helpful and some of it is mean. The robot guiding us is obnoxious at
times. He also does not listen to things like we are under water and no
longer in space. I ran into some language issues in Professor Lupo Ocean
too. There is violent content as our character is able to die a variety
of ways. None of them are very pleasant. We start over and try to avoid
that same mistake again.
Professor Lupo Ocean looks good in the overhead angled viewpoint. I
enjoyed a variety of the little touches in the graphics here and there.
The anime cut scenes are pretty cool in Professor Lupo Ocean. A lot of
effort went into this game. I had real problems with the timing puzzles
in Professor Lupo Ocean. Those shark things are way too fast for me,
even when I took the water away and they rolled around. I wish we had
some short burst sprint in Professor Lupo Ocean early on.
If you get stuck in Professor Lupo Ocean then you cannot do anything but
try that level again and again. I did not find a way to skip a level in
Professor Lupo Ocean. I like the exploration of the story in Professor
Lupo Ocean. I also like how Professor Lupo Ocean ties into the first
game. Professor Lupo Ocean is around the same size of the first game
clocking in at 3.3 gigs on the Nintendo Switch. I had to delete some
games to make room.
