Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs
SCORE: 85
I am so thankful Family Friendly Gaming
was given a retail copy of Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs on Blu-ray +
Digital. There is quite a twist on the fairy tale nature of Red Shoes
and the Seven Dwarfs. Snow White is a bit overweight. The witch that
becomes her step mother is growing a magical apple tree. This tree
produces shoes that will make the wearer the most beautiful woman in all
the kingdom. Can you see where that was going?
Right before Snow White puts on the magical apple shoes, we find out
about seven brave heroes. They defeated a beast and freed a princess.
They thought she was a wicked witch based on how she looked. So she
cursed all seven of them. To break the curse they need to be kissed by
the most beautiful woman in all the kingdom. See where this is going and
how this connects? Yes the seven dwarfs are trying to get Snow White to
kiss them.
There is mild peril and cartoon violence in Red Shoes and the Seven
Dwarfs. Magic and witchcraft also play mild roles in Red Shoes and the
Seven Dwarfs. There is also plenty of humor in Red Shoes and the Seven
Dwarfs. The voices in Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs are great and the
animation looks nice. Snow White is on a mission in Red Shoes and the
Seven Dwarfs to find her father who has been missing for some time.
A prince hunts Snow White in Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs to invite
her to his birthday party. Being superficial is a main theme in Red
Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs. At the end of the day Red Shoes and the
Seven Dwarfs teaches us to be comfortable in our own skins and to not
judge a book by its cover. Heroes can be shallow. The same can be said
of princesses. The content of the character is way more important than
how the person looks.
There are plenty of people on this planet that judge others based on how
they look. How someone acts is not always factored into the equation.
Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs is a great reminder to give people a
chance who may not look that great. There are aspects of our appearance
we can control and there are aspects we cannot control. I hope Red Shoes
and the Seven Dwarfs reaches those haters who need to learn this lesson.
