Rogue Cube
SCORE: 65
Have you ever wanted to be a rebellious
square? If you answered yes to that question then Rogue Cube might be of
interest to you. We are a cube on a mission. What is our mission in
Rogue Cube? We must blow everyone away until we have cleared all of the
levels. We blow away the various enemies we find in Rogue Cube. We do so
with limited ammo and they are shooting back. Get them before they get
you is what Rogue Cube taught me.
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code to Rogue Cube
on the Nintendo Switch. Rogue Cube can also be found on the Playstation
4, and Xbox One. Gamers can play Rogue Cube in solo campaign, local
multiplayer campaign, or local multiplayer competitive mode. Rogue Cube
has three playable cube characters and six additional unlockable
characters. There are thirty-seven weapons to murder all of your
enemies.
Rogue Cube comes with eleven levels and there are four bosses in this
downloadable only video game. Rogue Cube clocks in around one hundred
and fifty-two megs. Rogue Cube comes with retro graphics, and some
touchy controls. We must unlock each gate in Rogue Cube to get out of
the level. We shoot all of the enemies while they are also trying to
shoot us.
The music in Rogue Cube is okay. There were times I was into the music
and times I was not into the music. The different cube colors was cool.
The AI of the enemy characters is aggressive. They will come at you.
They do back off at times. I found the enemy movements in Rogue Cube to
be pretty predictable. I do not recommend starting a level and putting
the controller down. You will die.
The hardest part for me in Rogue Cube is the limited ammo. It is not a
problem at first. It becomes more of a problem in later levels. Retro
indie gamers might be interested in Rogue Cube. This is a very unique
playing game thanks to the maze level set up. I am thankful I was given
an opportunity to play Rogue Cube on the Nintendo Switch.
