Soul Calibur VI
SCORE: 46
I received a free copy of Soul Calibur VI
thanks to Xbox Game Pass. After the franchise failed so badly in the
past with Family Friendly Gaming there was little interest in sequels.
We just kept hoping this franchise would get the hint and go away. Sadly
it did not. After the long download and installation I had to agree to
three of their legal terms and conditions that gives the company all of
the rights and makes gamers their slaves.
The modes in Soul Calibur VI is Mission, Story, Creation, Battle,
Network and Museum. Soul Calibur VI is a fighting game where we fight
one on one with another player or the computer. Soul Calibur VI is one
messed up fighting game on so many levels. I ran into lag, glitches,
complete unbalance and more while playing with different characters.
There are some messed up characters in Soul Calibur VI too.
The issues families will have with Soul Calibur VI are blood, death,
lack of attire, enticement to lust, false gods, bad language, nudity,
violence, and more. There are a variety of characters and arenas in Soul
Calibur VI. We can ring out certain characters in certain arenas if we
do things just right. I found at times this would not work even when it
should. The menu screens in Soul Calibur VI are a bit odd and confusing.
Collision detection in Soul Calibur VI is questionable at best. It seems
that the character that hits first can almost always win. The reason is
we can juggle the other character for a long enough time to bring their
health really low. The computer is cheap, irritating and frustrating to
play against. It is astounding a franchise makes it to the sixth game as
a 3D fighter and it includes so many glitches and problems. How does
that happen?
Many of the attacks are complex button inputs that do not always work
right. Soul Calibur VI teaches us to be aggressive, and to get them
before they get us. Soul Calibur VI also teaches us to keep getting them
until they can no longer get us back. I had trouble controlling my anger
after playing Soul Calibur VI. I rarely have anger issues unless someone
is attacking Christians for following out their faith in the public
forum.
