Super Soccer Blast
SCORE: 70
A digital downloadable key was provided to
Family Friendly Gaming on the Playstation 4 (PS4) for this review. Super
Soccer Blast is also on the Nintendo Switch, Personal Computer (PC), and
Xbox One. Super Soccer Blast is an interesting soccer based video game.
There are aspects of Super Soccer Blast that make it feel like an arcade
game, and there are aspects that put Super Soccer Blast outside that
definition. More on that to come.
Super Soccer Blast has wonderful bright colors. The players, stands,
fields, and more look decent. Nothing to write home about, but nothing
horrible either. When we play the game, Super Soccer Blast has small
looking players. The gameplay in Super Soccer Blast is not as complex as
PES or Fifa, but it is not as simple as what I see most arcade games. We
can pass, dribble, lob, shoot to score and more while playing Super
Soccer Blast. We can also slide tackle to get the ball back.
Super Soccer Blast has a very confusing penalty system. I could slide at
the opposing team relentlessly to try and get the ball. No fouls and no
penalties. I would try to score and something happened and I got a free
kick. I am not clear what happened there. Super Soccer Blast is also not
very helpful to the player in terms of passing. I lost way too many
passes because my player stood there and watch the opposing player run
up to the ball. This was on super easy difficulty mode too.
The music in Super Soccer Blast is nice to listen to. There are sixteen
challenges that can be unlocked. We play Super Soccer Blast in Play,
Custom, Challenges, and Options. The modes under Play are World Tour,
Quick Match, and Custom Competitions. Under Custom Super Soccer Blast
has Avatar Editor, and Team Editor. The options under World Tour are
Eurochamps, Fiesta Tournament, League of Champions, Mediterranean
League, and Mondo Cup.
I got spanked in Super Soccer Blast on easy mode. That is why I went to
Very Easy. I struggled to win there. Super Soccer Blast is a bit light
on teams, but families can create their own teams. Four family members
can enjoy Super Soccer Blast. If you are aggressive with your tackling
then you might have some good games. I found the computer is really
tough in Super Soccer Blast at every difficulty setting. I loved being
able to create my own team and how easy it is to score goals when you
can get close to the goalie.
