The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part
SCORE: 64
I am thankful I had enough money to
purchase The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part on DVD. I was very curious to
see this movie after the controversies surrounding it. In the human
world the sister gets to come down and play with the Legos. She winds up
destroying a lot of things. The Lego world goes into a more mature
dystopian society. Emmet is the only one that tries to stay positive.
The animation in The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part is a lot like the
first movie. The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part does improve some parts
thankfully. The fight scenes in The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part are
interesting. Certain enemies are very over powered in my opinion
especially in the beginning of the movie. It took me 107 minutes to
watch The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part.
The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part is all about getting tougher and
growing up. SPOILER ALERT! The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part teaches
viewers to be vulnerable, and to avoid getting tough. I can’t say I
agree with that lesson personally. The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part
feels like part of the war on men to me. Which is a real shame that
Holly Weird continues to be so sexist against men.
There are some interesting new songs in The Lego Movie 2 The Second
Part. Thankfully the new song that is supposed to get stuck in your head
did not get stuck in mine. There are some variations of Everything is
Awesome in The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part. The voice acting is stellar
in The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part. Expect plenty of humor in this
movie as well. We laughed a lot watching The Lego Movie 2 The Second
Part.
SPOILER ALERT! Rex being Emmet from the future was one twist I did not
see coming. I also did not realize this movie would be so hateful about
being tough and strong. How did The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part get
Batman agree to get married? That made little sense to me. A second disc
contains the bonus content of The Lego Movie 2 The Second Part. Maybe
the third movie will get better.
