Transformers Battlegrounds

Peter and I did a Twitch stream of
Transformers Battlegrounds expecting one kind of a video game. We wound
up finding a completely different kinds of video game. Transformers
Battlegrounds is a turn based strategy role playing game. We take the
Autobots or Decepticons and roll out into battle. We can make so many
moves per turn. We can only attack once, unless we use a super charged
power up special attack with a regular attack.
Multiple difficulty settings will help families not used to this kind of
a game. I learned in Transformers Battlegrounds to pay attention to my
mission in each level. Maybe I need to get all of my characters in a
certain area. So fighting every single enemy robot that spawns in is a
waste of a time when we are up against the clock. Thankfully all of our
actions can be spent on movement to go farther. Attacks are limited
which is something the Valkyria Chronicles franchise does not do.
Transformers Battlegrounds looks good. There are some neat graphics to
look at while playing Transformers Battlegrounds. We do shoot bots with
a variety of attacks. Each bot that is defeated is deactivated and
vanishes. Grimlock has a neat fire breath attack that can hurt friend
and foe. Be careful of friendly fire in Transformers Battlegrounds.
Ratchet has a neat lab where we can spend points earned to improve our
characters.
I enjoyed the voice acting in Transformers Battlegrounds even if some of
the well known voice actors for these characters were not used.
Transformers Battlegrounds was not what we were expecting. Nonetheless
it is a solid turn based strategy role playing game that families can
enjoy. I loved being able to hide behind buildings, shoot and move.
Remember the enemies can use the same tactics and they do.
Megatron is after the all spark in Transformers Battlegrounds. Optimus
is playing keep away with it. The Autbots feel bad about bringing this
war to our planet. Transformers Battlegrounds has a nice light hearted
feel to it with humor in it. I would love to see more games like
Transformers Battlegrounds in the near future. You might notice a video
series on this game on our website very soon.
