Trolls World Tour
SCORE: 80
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was
given a retail version of Trolls World Tour on Blu-ray + DVD + Digital
Code. I fondly remembered the first movie. I also acknowledge that many
times sequels are not as good as the first movies. Trolls World Tour
drops off for me in a few ways that I hope I can express effectively in
this review. We find out there are six troll nations in Trolls World
Tour. They are Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop and Rock. Just like
the different musical genres in the real world.
The queen of rock decides she wants to conquer the world and make all of
the trolls listen to rock and roll. Her plan is to get the magical
strings from each nation and put them all into her special guitar. This
turns the trolls into rock zombies that no longer want to listen to the
other musical styles. SPOILER ALERT! We learn that pop stole the strings
in the past and caused the nations to split up and not work with the
other nations.
Trolls World Tour has a Tower of Babel vibe to it at times. There is
plenty of singing and dancing. As a fan of country music I am
disappointed with how Holly Weird showed that genre. I guess their bias
and discrimination showed through on that particular point. There is
plenty of upbeat country music. Why couldn’t they play some of that?
They went out of their way to make Funk look good even though it is
definitely smaller than Country.
There are some amazing colors and schemes used in Trolls World Tour. I
loved the techno area at the beginning of Trolls World Tour. The colors
in the techno area are fantastic. There are some interesting twists and
turns in Trolls World Tour. There is a lesson about the queens not
listening and doing what they want to do. There is also a lesson about
listening to different voices. Too bad Holly Weird does not practice
what they preach.
It took me one hour and thirty-one minutes to watch Trolls World Tour.
There are some different kinds of bonuses on the Trolls World Tour
discs. We can learn how to do certain dances, see tiny diamond go to
school, and more. Trolls World Tour does have a bit of violence here and
there. The rock and roll nation trashes the other civilizations quite
efficiently. Trolls World Tour has some humor that kids and adults will
understand.
