World Driver Championship
SCORE: 58
Did you enjoy the
Twitch stream Teen Gamer
and I did of World Driver Championship on the Nintendo 64? That
recording will make it to
Youtube at some point after we do all of the
work to process it for that platform. This arcade racing video game did
not impress us here at Family Friendly Gaming.
It can always be difficult trying to remember what looked good back in
the day. I always look at games from the same time frame on the same
system. The night races in World Driver Championship are horrible. It is
so difficult to see anything. Which might not be much of a problem if
the controls were a bit better. The lag in the controls sent us over
correcting way too often in World Driver Championship.
The racing sounds in World Driver Championship are neat to listen to
while we are struggling to stay on the road. In typical Midway Games
style the computer controlled racers are tough to beat. If you like
losing, and being humbled on the Nintendo 64 then World Driver
Championship might be the game for you. I like winning at times without
having a degree in a certain game.
There are ten locales to race in World Driver Championship. Tracks have
minor modifications on them, and can be raced in reverse. World Driver
Championship is lacking in content in my opinion. Two family members can
struggle with World Driver Championship at the same time thanks to the
split screen. I paid too much for this game on the Nintendo 64.
