Animal Doctor
SCORE: 85
Normally when I play veterinarian based
video games we start in the office and see some animals. Animal Doctor
is a completely different experience. We collect puzzle pieces, and
herbs that heal before we start to treat the animals. We also must walk
around this area in the first person mode. We walk to farms and help
their sick animals in Animal Doctor. Thankfully there is an arrow on the
map screen showing which direction to go.
Animal Doctor looks pretty good for a veterinarian based video game.
Animal Doctor also sounds really good too. I enjoyed the different
animal sounds while playing Animal Doctor. This video game reminds me of
Hunting Simulator except we are treating and not hunting. We run across
all kinds of different animals in Animal Doctor. I saw farm animals,
deer, rabbits, and more while playing Animal Doctor.
There were times Animal Doctor could have been a bit tighter in terms of
what to do next. I guess I was expected to stop and smell the roses. Or
maybe I was expected to know to go back to the house/office building. I
did eventually figure it out while I was playing Animal Doctor. A basic
reading ability is needed to play Animal Doctor. There are certain
missions like finding the herbs that are written on the screen. If you
can’t read yet then understanding what to do will be a problem.
Animal Doctor is just under three gigs on the Playstation 4. I am very
thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code of
this game. Animal Doctor is also on the Nintendo Switch, Personal
Computer, and Xbox One. My research of Animal Doctor provided me no
information on physical copy versions in the United States at this time.
I hope Animal Doctor gets them soon.
I liked Animal Doctor quite a bit. I did not expect much from this
animal treatment video game. I tip my hat to Toplitz Productions for
doing something different with the genre and making it work. I hope
there are more games like Animal Doctor in the future. It was a pleasure
for me to play and review Animal Doctor on the Playstation 4. Families
should check this video game out in my opinion.
