Baby Shark's Big Show
SCORE: 80
I made a couple of people cringe when I
requested a retail version of Baby Shark's Big Show on DVD. The song at
the start and the end was the biggest complaint I received about Baby
Shark's Big Show. If you like the song then you will be fine. If you do
not like the song then you are probably going to dislike Baby Shark's
Big Show. There are a variety of lessons for kids within Baby Shark's
Big Show. After all audio visual learning is what television is all
about.
The episodes on the Baby Shark's Big Show DVD are Fish Friends Forever,
Baby Tooth, Slobber Slug, Super Shark, William vs. Wild, Legendary Loot,
Yup Day, and When You Wish Upon a Fish. It takes ninety-four minutes to
watch Baby Shark's Big Show from start to finish. There are also four
shorts included that are not as long as the shows. Sort of small
missions kind of thing.
Baby Shark's Big Show is very anti-competition. Baby Shark's Big Show is
all about working together. That one main lesson was found throughout
Baby Shark's Big Show. Baby Shark's Big Show wants everyone to be a
friend, face their fears, take your time, do not lie, do not cheat,
think of others, work together, and more. The Yup day is all about
saying yes to everything.
Baby Shark's Big Show shows how silly it is to say yes to everything,
and touches on you cannot say no to everything either. Both of those
extremes are bad. Everything in moderation like the Holy Bible teaches.
To be clear Baby Shark's Big Show does not reference the Holy Bible when
reflecting the exact same lesson. There was a good opportunity there
that was missed.
The toothfish fairy is an odd character in Baby Shark's Big Show that
seemed out of place to me. The same goes for keeping a tooth after it
has come out because you want to call on your friend instead of finish
the transaction. Family is the treasure their ancestor left them from
the treasure map. I just wonder how no one noticed the doors in the
floor of that closet all that time?
Baby Shark's Big Show is like a lot of the modern typical Nickelodeon
kids shows. There are lessons in there. Parents need to decide if they
agree with those lessons or not. I found lessons in Baby Shark's Big
Show I agreed with and lessons I disagreed with. I also skipped the
intro song as often as possible so it would not get stuck in my head. I
did the same with the exit song as well.
