Beyond Blue
SCORE: 70
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital
download code for Beyond Blue on the Nintendo Switch. Beyond Blue is
also available on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. I was unable to discover
any physical copy versions of Beyond Blue on those systems at the time
this review was written. In other words Beyond Blue is a digital
downloadable title only. It would be too easy to reference songs like
Under the Sea when writing about Beyond Blue.
Beyond Blue lets players take the role of an ocean scientist who gives
live streams showing off aquatic animals. We scan them for the live
streams in Beyond Blue. Don’t worry you won’t actually be live streaming
in Beyond Blue. Unless you just want to live stream Beyond Blue. On the
gameplay front Beyond Blue is a bit on the low. There is plenty of
learning in Beyond Blue. Some if may be controversial and divisive on
the political front.
Beyond Blue does contain blood and violent content. As you probably know
animals are not exactly nice to one another. In fact they viciously kill
one another for food. That is part of the reality of the animal kingdom.
Beyond Blue does a decent job of showing God’s creation under water.
Beyond Blue does not reference it as God’s creation though. A major
missed opportunity. That is the kind of content that would earn a reward
for sure.
There is voice acting from some people you may have heard of in Beyond
Blue. I had never heard of them before. They should hire people like our
Editor in Chief to do voice acting in these video games. That would go
over really well and probably earn all kinds of awards. The music in
Beyond Blue is okay. It really is difficult to have a lot of good sounds
underwater. There are videos about the ocean in Beyond Blue as well.
I can see some people being offended and bothered by the political left
slant preaching in Beyond Blue. I know plenty of people that are sick
and tired of all of this entertainment trying to brain wash everyone
into radical far left political ideology. Real science is one thing, but
keep the political content out of the games. Since they include it they
did not give a diverse opposing viewpoint on any of it which is totally
irresponsible and violates the Fairness Doctrine.
