Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder on the PC VR. So I had to get Steam up, and then some VR software and finally Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder would play. That was after the entire Occulus Rift setup crashed and had to be rebooted. I ran into a few glitches while playing Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder here and there. Why is the PC VR setup so much worse than the PS4 VR setup? Maybe because Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder is early access.

I can see definite improvements within Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder from the original video game. We go down into the mines and dig up objects that we can sell when we go topside. There are creatures that attack us in Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder. The player is able to buy a gun after the tutorial. This six shooter will allow the player to defend themselves against these creatures. The gun can also be used to knock precious minerals out of the walls and ceilings.

When the tools are not in our hands we can place them on specific parts of the body like the gloves. They are easily retrievable from those locations as well. When we collect precious materials we pick them up and put them over our shoulder and let go. It goes into the backpack of the player. This is really cool and helps add to the realism of this virtual reality video game. Turning cranks is very easy and how we cash in our precious materials when we get to the top.

There are two ways to move around in Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder. We can move our character around with the left stick like movement in any game. The right stick can be pressed in to teleport to a location that is pointed at. We can also swivel with the right controller. The right stick teleportation is very limited in range. Which makes it useless except when we need to go through holes in the wall. I did get sick from the movement choices within Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder.

Ultimately I did enjoying playing Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder I like how the mines are larger and we can explore more. I am not that big on the violence but it is not the true focus of this game. Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder looks good and it sounds good. There can be some off color humor from the narrator. I would love for a way to turn off the creature attacks, and extend the range of the right stick teleportation. Cave Digger 2 Dig Harder is a big step up from just having rooms and a timer in the last game. There is also a decent area to explore topside as well.
