Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries

From what I can tell Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries is the story of Professor Valery Legasov. He stops the nuclear disaster from getting worse. He also participates in the cleanup. He winds up giving his life by being too close to the radiation for too long. In one of the most controversial moments of Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries he kills himself. In fact Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries starts with that and then takes us back in time to find out why he did such a cowardly and evil deed.

Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries really hammers the Soviet government and the KGB for their attempts to diminish the truth, hide the truth, and lie about what happened. With graphite on the ground, roof, and all over the place the government and KGB do not want to admit there is a problem. The good professor has to lie to the KGB about there being a problem because if he tells the truth he gets put in prison or bites a bullet.

There is a war in Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries between politicians and scientists. The nuclear fallout reaches other nations and the Soviets must admit their mistakes. Along the way we find out there was plenty of human error and a design flaw that had been reported ten years earlier. The report, scientist, and his family were redacted by the KGB. SPOILER ALERT! Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries tells us after the professors suicide scientists rise up to get the fatal flaw fixed.

The issues families will have with Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries is bad language, smoking, lack of attire, nudity, fear, blood, gore, and more. I do appreciate how Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries teaches us to tell the truth, stand up to oppressive governments, and do the right thing. Plenty of people sacrifice their lives in Chernobyl A 5-Part Miniseries so others may live. What is the cost of lies? Have you ever thought about that?
