Dr. Stone 4

I continue to work my way through Dr. Stone with Dr. Stone 4 since Peter already owned these manga books. We see a little bit of the strong village in Dr. Stone 4. Most of this book focuses on the scientific village and the inventions that are being made. The quest for medicine to cure the sickly Ruri continues within Dr. Stone 4. The science team in Dr. Stone 4 work on electricity and glass. It is impressive to see the progress they make.

The artwork in Dr. Stone 4 continues to be fantastic. It is neat to see the expressions in this futuristic fantasy stone age world. Dr. Stone 4 does contain some violent content, lack of attire, and enticement to lust issues. Dr. Stone 4 is only for those thirteen and older only. There are some fascinating questions in Dr. Stone 4. How do you test a gas mask? Who is Senku? How does Ruri know Senku?

The village has a tournament coming where the winner gets to be the husband of Ruri and become the new chief of the village. Senku and his team attempt to fix the tournament with a specific strategy. It looks like that strategy backfires though. I am a bit dismayed that they would try to fix a tournament like that. I understand the stakes are high but still fixing a tournament is a bit under handed.

Characters see this scary specter before going into the deadly gas in Dr. Stone 4. I found that death lady thing to be very creepy. The fuzzy eye disease is very fascinating in Dr. Stone 4. Do you know what cures it? Glasses is the cure. I have worn glasses or contacts my entire life. How did Senku get the prescription just right? There are always little things like that I will notice and question.

All in all I enjoyed reading through Dr. Stone 4. This series has got me thinking creatively about similar books and concepts I could write about. Books that would be geared more toward an American audience. I am always curious to see what new scientific discovery will be shown in Dr. Stone 4. It is also funny to see how different characters react to these new things. I plan on continuing my way through this series.
