Dr. Stone 5
SCORE: 71
There is some major progress in Dr. Stone
5. I was really happy to see the origin of the humans being turned to
the stone. At least in regards to how it looks from up in space. Only
humans on the planet Earth were turned into stone. Any humans out in
space like the International Space Station were safe. At least in terms
of being turned to stone. This shows us how there are humans on the
planet that were not turned to stone. It is kind of sad they did not
progress very far technologically though.
Dr. Stone 5 starts out with the battle for the new chief continuing. We
find out in Dr. Stone 5 who will be the next chief of the tribe. That
person also gets to marry Ruri. Near the end of Dr. Stone 5 we find out
who was the founder of this village. SPOILER ALERT! Senku’s father is
the founder of the village. How did that happen? He was on the
International Space Station when the whole world was turned to stone. We
don’t know how they got back down to Earth though. Hopefully that is
covered in the next book.
The artwork and dialogue continues to be fantastic in Dr. Stone 5. I am
very happy there are major reveals in this book. I appreciate seeing
more of the curtain being pulled back in Dr. Stone 5. The emotions and
expressions continue to entertain in Dr. Stone 5. Some of the content in
Dr. Stone 5 is very Japanese but that is to be expected considering the
source country of this content.
The issues families can have with Dr. Stone 5 are violence, blood,
enticement to lust, lack of attire, lies, and more. The kingdom of
science grows and finally creates the medicine in Dr. Stone 5. It took
quite a bit of time to get us there. Hopefully it will work out for Ruri
in the future. I was very dismayed that Senku wanted a divorce so
quickly. I thought the marriage was a very good idea.
I am continuing to enjoy Dr. Stone 5 as I progress through the books
Peter already owns. I will continue to work through this series and
maybe someday check out the anime. Dr. Stone 5 still has plenty of
mysteries to reveal to us. How did all of this start? How did the
astronauts get down to Earth? Where will the kingdom of science go from
here? What is going on with the kingdom of strength?
