Free Guy
SCORE: 65
As we march toward Christmas this year we
started watching movies we got during early Black Friday shopping. Free
Guy is one of those movies. When I came to my movie pick I knew I wanted
to see Free Guy. The concept interested me. We have an NPC that decides
to go rogue and start acting like a player. Why did this happen? How did
it happen? What is going on behind the scenes?
The issues families will have with Free Guy are violence, blood, bad
language, racism against white people, sexism against men, lies about
gun violence, and more. Holly Weird has to force some things into Free
Guy that really do not fit. The racism, sexism, and lies about gun
violence were not needed and really bring this movie down. The same goes
for all the bad language. It is not needed and does not honestly in my
opinion fit the movie or the theme.
We see a variety of different streamers in Free Guy. Sorry yours truly
was not asked to participate in this movie. I recognized one of the
streamers in Free Guy. Noah happened to recognize a few more. I am so
busy streaming and improving Family Friendly Gaming I do not have time
to watch others. The grievance industry is constantly looking for some
new group to claim is being victimized. In Free Guy it is the NPCs (non
playable characters). The computer coded characters are mistreated by
real people and that is just wrong according to this movie.
Free Guy does have plenty of humor within it. Free Guy tries to provide
some epic moments but they really fall flat at the time. The whole two
glocks line and shooting scene was not epic. I can see they wanted it to
be. But it missed. The drama going on in the real world with a large
company stealing from an indie company is something that I am sure goes
on in our world as well. Guy plays the video game as a good guy which is
refreshing to see with so many video games wanting us to play evil.
Gamers will really get into Free Guy. The intro scene of Free Guy is a
great example of this. There are plenty of gamer related nods given in
Free Guy throughout. Gamers will most likely want to rewatch Free Guy.
The entire AI growing and learning concept is fascinating in Free Guy as
well. At some point we may get video games that actually contain that.
What will we do?
