I decided to avoid purchasing Justice
League Dark Apokolips War during Black Friday 2021 sales. Recently after
watching another DC Animated movie I saw a feature on Justice League
Dark Apokolips War. I decided to purchase it and see about this movie
where the heroes lose to Darkseid and things get all messed up on Earth.
I did not even check the rating before making the purchase online.
Justice League Dark Apokolips War is rated 'R' for Restricted. After
watching it I can see why. Honestly all of the blood and gore could have
been left out. It also felt weird seeing these super heroes having limbs
ripped off so easily. How did Darkseid do it? SPOILER ALERT! Darkseid
merged his parademons with Doomsday DNA. So these Doomsday demons
destroyed the Justice League easily.
Superman gets a kryptonite tatto on his chest so he will never power up
again. Earth is conquered. Batman is brainwashed to obey Darkseid. A
small resistance fights to free the Earth and save it from the machines
that are sending the magma to Apokolips. Lex Luthor is relegated to a
lacky of Batman in Justice League Dark Apokolips War. He also feeds the
resistance information.
Lots of well known characters die in Justice League Dark Apokolips War.
Some come back in robotic form. Others die in Justice League Dark
Apokolips War for good. Constantine gives the universe hope as he finds
out about Flashpoint. SPOILER ALERT! Constantine encourages Flash to go
back and change things. Since changing time brought Darkseid to them
supposedly.
The issues families will have with Justice League Dark Apokolips War are
blood, violence, bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust,
depair, magic, demons and more. Etrigan goes around in Justice League
Dark Apokolips War as comic relief since he is bored. He does come alive
and awake when there is a real challenge to fight. Too bad he was
probably not sober enough for that fight.
There is plenty of bonus content with the Blu-ray + DVD + Digital
version of Justice League Dark Apokolips War. I doubt I will want to
watch Justice League Dark Apokolips War ever again. There are episodes
from other DC Animated shows within Justice League Dark Apokolips War. I
predicted every "shock reveal" in Justice League Dark Apokolips War. In
fact early on I thought releasing Trigon on Apokolips would be a smart
move.
