Night Lights
SCORE: 60
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was
given a digital download code for Night Lights on the Nintendo Switch.
This version of Night Lights can also be downloaded on the PS4, PS5,
Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. I did some research and was unable to find
any information on a physical copy edition of Night Lights in the United
States at this time. I know that will make the millions upon millions
within the physical copy movement very sad.
Night Lights contains indie graphics and indie sounds. Night Lights is a
pretty dark video game visually. I mean that literally too. The player
is in control of a little robot who likes to turn the lights on. The
lights being on or off can completely change the dynamic of a level. The
shadows in Night Lights can change things. Maybe the light on in a
certain area illuminates a certain place the player can go.
The night time sounds in Night Lights are a bit on the creepy side in my
personal and professional opinion. The puzzle elements in Night Lights
can be challenging. I found myself stumped multiple times while playing
Night Lights. There are no hints in Night Lights. If you get stuck you
either figure it out, fail, give up, or look it up online. If you can
find someone who solved that level then you can get through yourself.
I loved collecting the lightning bolts in Night Lights. That is one of
the best parts of Night Lights in my book. I found many of them are
really hard to get to as well. I wanted to like Night Lights so badly. I
kept getting stuck in Night Lights. I got stuck early and often in this
downloadable only video game. If I cannot figure out how to get by
something then I want to go and do something else.
Night Lights is a dark 2D side scrolling puzzle video game where players
try and get to a spot where they can exit the level. Players must also
keep a switch lit so they can get out of the level. This is done mainly
with objects like boxes. The map screen can help players traverse the
fantasy puzzle world of Night Lights. As long as you can figure out how
to get out of a screen.
