Streets of Rage 4

I don't normally play beat em up kind of games. I was asked to broaden my horizons and try out Streets of Rage 4. We got a free copy thanks to the Xbox Game Pass that Peter pays for. Otherwise I would have never heard of or seen Streets of Rage 4. I did find there are physical copy versions of Streets of Rage 4 available for hardcore gamers to buy. This game is not for kids.

Streets of Rage 4 earns its thirteen and older only rating from the lenient ESRB. We pummel a wide array of characters in Streets of Rage 4. We can punch and kick them or use some powerful attacks. Here is the trade off though. When we use powerful special attacks in Streets of Rage 4 we lose health. We gain health by punching and kicking many of the same looking enemies. This encouraged me to pretty much just use punches and kicks which makes Streets of Rage 4 really boring.

The issues families will have with Streets of Rage 4 is violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, bad language, and more. We can punch and kick things like cars until they explode. When we find stars we can use super powerful attacks on the enemies. They can be used one time per star we find. I found Streets of Rage 4 to be boring and difficult at the same time. Picking up weapons is good for hurting enemies, but they break really quickly.

I found if you over use the powerful attacks you will die quickly and often. Until you get the game over screen. Which for me was encouragement to delete Streets of Rage 4 and never play it again. Multiple people in the same area or online can suffer through Streets of Rage 4 at the same time. The graphics are nice and the music is cool to listen to. The action is just so repetitive in Streets of Rage 4.

I know Streets of Rage 4 is along the lines of its genre and style from the previous three games. I am not the target audience. I am not into these kinds of games. BattleToads at least broke up the boring fight all the same looking enemies with different kinds of levels. That is where Streets of Rage 4 lost me. I get tired of pummeling the same looking characters over and over again.
