very interested in Sun Wukong VS Robot. Family Friendly Gaming was given
a digital download code for Sun Wukong VS Robot on the Playstation 5.
This version of Sun Wukong VS Robot can also be found on the Playstation
4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
Sun Wukong VS Robot takes an Atari 2600 looking main character and puts
him in an 8-bit looking video game. We must traverse the screens, fight
the bosses and try to stay alive. There are two attacks the character
can do. The secondary attack (launching of orbs) is limited to use it
sparingly. I waited to use it until I reached the bosses. Who were still
challenging with that more powerful attack.
Sun Wukong VS Robot has retro music that is decent to listen to. We must
take our monkey character on a quest to break the mind locker on his
head. He was captured long ago and must now try and fight for his
freedom. How does a player do that in Sun Wukong VS Robot? They must
break all of the robots they find. Technically you can avoid destroying
some of the robots. It is even harder to get through that way.
Sun Wukong VS Robot taps into other games in the past like Mega Man,
Metroid, and Castlevania in terms of level design and fighting bosses in
a certain room. By the way you can play Sun Wukong VS Robot non-violent
until you reach the bosses. Then you must attack them or you will not
make it through that room. The bosses are what I found to be very
challenging in Sun Wukong VS Robot.
The main issue families can have with Sun Wukong VS Robot is the
violence. We can hack and slash our way through quite a few robots. I
found it is really easy to die in Sun Wukong VS Robot too. The more I
upgraded the skills the easier Sun Wukong VS Robot became. Save rooms
are essential and important in Sun Wukong VS Robot. Sun Wukong VS Robot
is only 130 megs in terms of memory size.
