WandaVision Season One

As we blitz through our free month of Disney+ I decided to watch the nine episodes of WandaVision Season One. Disney and Marvel are using Disney+ Marvel shows to tell the story of what is going on in the MCU after the last movies. WandaVision Season One shows us what happened to the Scarlet Witch after Infinity War. She tries to bury Vision and winds up going to a small town where they were going to settle.

Wanda rewrites reality in WandaVision Season One in Westview. All of the people there are given the roles she wants them to have. She does not do this consciously though. Her grief creates a family for her out of nothing. If she brings the wall down she loses her family. She enslaves others to her sitcom fantasies. Most of this is not explained until the last couple of episodes in WandaVision Season One.

WandaVision Season One is horrible for the first seven episodes. It finally makes sense and becomes like a Marvel show in the last two episodes. We learn why sitcoms are important to Wanda. We find out there is another witch in the town in WandaVision Season One. We find out more about Vision and there is some interesting philosophical debate.

The issues families can have with WandaVision Season One are magic, violence, bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, witchcraft and more. WandaVision Season One starts black and white and eventually color enters into the show. The most interesting part of WandaVision Season One for me is the people on the outside trying to contact Wanda. Grief is really dealt with in WandaVision Season One.

How they dress for the Halloween episode in WandaVision Season One is very interesting. I did not find a Christmas episode in WandaVision Season One. That was a lost opportunity. The changes to the different sitcom eras was a little confusing. That was never really explained. WandaVision Season One leaves the door open for the future. Wanda will probably get more powerful and Vision will most likely be back.
