Wonder Woman 1984
SCORE: 63
I am thankful I had the money to purchase
Wonder Woman 1984 on DVD. This super hero movie improves upon the first
one. This is very good to see in my opinion. Wonder Woman 1984 also
allows Diana to be strong and submissive in the same movie. I am still
pondering how they made that work when so many other works from Holly
Weird failed at it. SPOILER ALERT! Maybe because her boyfriend dies in
this movie. That could be why that worked so well.
Wonder Woman 1984 introduces us to Cheetah and Max Lord. There is
another key item within Wonder Woman 1984. That additional key item is a
wish stone. If you hold this stone and make a wish you get it. Each
person can only make one wish. The wish stone also takes something from
the person making the wish. Diana for example wishes for her boyfriend
to come back. He comes back somehow and inhabits the body of someone
else. Diana slowly starts losing her powers as payment for the wish.
The issues families can have with Wonder Woman 1984 are violence, lack
of attire, anti-male, false gods, blood, bad language, sex outside of
marriage, and more. Wonder Woman 1984 promotes the belief that there is
nothing for us after we die. The whole world goes insane over the wishes
and they ultimately cause all kinds of problems. Part of it is the price
the characters pay and the other part is the mischievous character
behind the creation of the wish stone. Would you make a wish on such a
stone?
Wonder Woman 1984 also allows characters to renounce their wishes and
things are reset. So Wonder Woman can renounce her wish to get her
powers back. She has to lose the man she loves to make that happen
though. There is a cost no matter which direction a character takes. The
invisible jet makes an appearance in Wonder Woman 1984. The motives of
the characters in Wonder Woman 1984 make perfect sense to me.
All in all I enjoyed the 151 minutes of Wonder Woman 1984. I loved the
era of the 80s and the whole story concept was very interesting. There
are greedy characters that want more. That reminds me of some of the
people I have met in the video game industry. They are never satisfied
and do not care who they have to use and trample to get their way.
Wonder Woman 1984 has certain people treated like slave labor just like
video game PR and Marketing treat some of us in gaming media.
