Ys IX Monstrum Nox

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download for Ys IX Monstrum Nox on the Playstation 4. This game will also be appearing on the PC (via the Steam portal), and the Nintendo Switch. There are physical copies of Ys IX Monstrum Nox available on the home console systems. Ys IX Monstrum Nox clocks in at seven gigs on the PS4. Make sure your system has enough room.

Adol “the Red” Christin is on his latest adventure. Ys IX Monstrum Nox is a major departure from many of the previous games as well. Do not expect a vibrant bursting world where you can explore major areas. We get trapped in Balduq. This is a prison town. While trying to escape the prison Adol gets shot and cursed. He becomes a Monstrum with new powers and is stuck in the town for this entire game.

Being trapped in a prison town was depressing. Then I realized Ys IX Monstrum Nox was trying to teach us something. Ys IX Monstrum Nox shows us what it is like to be stuck in prison. It really is no fun. We can explore every nook and cranny of the town finding all kinds of secrets. Ultimately we are caged in this town fighting monsters from the Grimwald Nox. As we clear these monsters we unlock new areas of the town.

We also work with other Monstrums to find the history of this town and the Grimwald Nox. As we work with new Monstrums we gain new abilities that are suited for the dungeons we face. We also find all kinds of items that are used for crafting. Recipes are used for cooking. Our base happens to be a tavern. Everything is upgradeable. Plenty of text is voice acted in Ys IX Monstrum Nox.

The issues families can have with Ys IX Monstrum Nox are bad language, blood, violence, getting cursed, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sexual deviancy, and more. The camera can be a pain at times. The graphics in the town look very washed out. The offensive content in Ys IX Monstrum Nox is at a lower degree than say The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel IV.

The music in Ys IX Monstrum Nox is really good. The artwork on the Monstrum characters are done well. There is an interesting story that slowly unfolds as players work their way through Ys IX Monstrum Nox. There are some interesting plot twists that I will let you find for yourself. I have always liked the Ys series personally. The religious system is toned down in Ys IX Monstrum Nox.
