Arkade Rush
SCORE: 80
I am so thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Evercade
VS System. I am also thankful I had the money to purchase the Indie
Heroes Collection 1 and Gaelco Arcade 1 cartridges. Arkade Rush is a
secret video game on the Evercade VS system when you put in those two
game cartridges. How cool is that? Blaze Entertainment included secret
video games on their console if you have certain other games. I will
never turn away free interesting indie video games in that situation.
Arkade Rush is a newer video game done in the retro style. In fact
Arkade Rush is designed for the 8-bit NES. It plays just fine on the
Evercade systems. We have a timer in Arkade Rush and must repair as many
of the arcade machines as we can. There are multiple steps in how to
repair one of the arcade machines within Arkade Rush. When Peter and I
live streamed Arkade Rush we did not check out the tutorial at first.
We learned very quickly that we needed to check out the tutorial in
Arkade Rush to have some clue how to play. Once we did we had a lot of
fun with this very challenging indie video game. The machines within
Arkade Rush keep breaking down. We must pull out the part, repair it,
install it, and then get the machine going again. All of that sounds
easy but each step takes a bit of time. One to four family members can
play Arkade Rush at the same time. Working together can really help you
make it through the day.
Arkade Rush is played in days. We have so much time each day to keep
things running smoothly. If you missed our live stream then you can
catch the video in the video section of the Family Friendly Gaming
website. Arkade Rush is one of the more interesting ideas for a newly
made retro video game. I love the concept of repairing things and making
a shop run smoothly. Arkade Rush has those concepts in spades. I wish
the idea had been fleshed out a bit more.
Arkade Rush has retro graphics and retro music. I really got into the
music while I was playing Arkade Rush. It is generally easy to move
around the screen in Arkade Rush. The best part about Arkade Rush for me
is it is totally free. Sure I had to buy the system and those two
cartridges, but I was already doing that. I did not buy any of them for
Arkade Rush. For me Arkade Rush is a bonus I was not expecting.
